SCHOOL OF ROCK HEADS TO SUNDERLAND EMPIRE

5 – 9 OCTOBER

Andrew Lloyd Webber’s smash-hit West End and Broadway musical, School of Rock, is set to embark on a major UK tour and it’s making a stop at Sunderland Empire in 2021!

Based on the hilarious hit film, the new musical follows Dewey Finn, a failed, wannabe rock star, who decides to earn a few extra bucks by posing as a substitute teacher at a prestigious prep school.

There, he turns a class of straight-A students into a guitar-shredding, bass-slapping, mind-blowing rock band – sensationally performed live by the production’s young actors every night with roof-raising energy!

While teaching these pint-sized prodigies what it means to truly rock, Dewey falls for the school’s beautiful, yet uptight, headmistress, helping her rediscover the wild child within.

The show is set to feature 14 new songs from Andrew Lloyd Webber and all of the beloved original songs from the film, resulting in a high-octane smash delivering face-melting guitar riffs and touching romance in equally brilliant doses.

After enjoying huge success in London, winning five-star reviews and the Oliver Award for Outstanding Achievement in Music, now, the rest of the UK can experience the magic – and we cannot wait to get among the action!
