December can only mean one thing at Sunderland Empire – it’s panto season!
Iconic actress and entertainer, Su Pollard leads the one of the most popular shows of the season as the Wicked Queen in Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs from Friday 10 December 2021 – Sunday 2 January 2022.
A pantomime legend, Su has appeared in Pinocchio, Aladdin, Jack and the Beanstalk, Dick Whittington, Babes In The Wood, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Peter Pan and Cinderella.
Su will join the North East Queen of Comedy, Miss Rory (Boulevard, aka Dan Cunningham) who will star as the hilarious Nurse Rorina, alongside South Shields comic hero Tom Whalley, as the sidesplitting Muddles the Jester.
Featuring a beautiful princess, a jealous Wicked Queen, seven bumbling dwarfs, a naughty nurse, a hilarious jester, and not forgetting a poisoned apple and a Magic Mirror, Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs is shaping up to be one of this year’s most in demand performances!

The mighty black cats have got a packed schedule this December as they see the year out with five home games at The Stadium Of Light to get your teeth stuck into.
Things kick off Wednesday 1 December with a Football League Trophy second round clash against Oldham Athletic, followed by three consecutive home league matches against Oxford United on Saturday 4, Morecambe on Tuesday 7, and Plymouth Argyle on Saturday 11.
The final game of the year sees Sunderland AFC take on Sheffield Wednesday on Thursday 30th in what will no doubt be an unmissable battle between two of the leagues top scrappers!
