Gatsby’s is a gem on Derwent Street. This beloved hangout has recently underwent a stunning transformation and their brand new menu is also causing quite the stir; tender rump steaks, hearty lasagnes and homemade pizzas aplenty – to die for!


Flanagan’s Bar

Flanagan’s ticks all the boxes if you’re after a wholesome pub. Gather your troops, watch the world go by with a cold one and dive into all your favourite pub classics this August.















Make Ttonic part of your must-visit list this summer. An iconic Sun’Lun establishment, this much-loved spot is firing out all your favourite teatime treats. We’ve got our eyes firmly fixed on their giant bowl of cheesy dirty chips!



This chic cocktail lounge on Low Row is getting in on all the EOTHO fun too. Expect perfect pizzas, fabulous fishy dinners and terrific topped chips from our friends in the city.















If you’re after a proper old-fashioned boozer with a well-stocked bar and a delicious foodie offering to match, Chaplins on Stockton road is the answer! Head here for glorious burgers, perfect pies and locally sourced sausage servings.



Take time to visit one of the North East’s dedicated gaming and Esports bar. Featuring great beer, fresh cocktails and awesome food fresh from the kitchen, AFK is a great spot to wind down and tuck in this August.


The Stumble Inn













Zoom on over to Chester Road and dive into all things hearty and wholesome this summer. From hot beef baps to a five bean chilli, Mediterranean vegetable tart and a three cheese pizza, the friendly folk at The Stumble Inn have your teatime covered.
