On Sunday 10 November, hundreds of service personnel and war veterans will join the Right Worshipful Mayor of Sunderland for the Sunderland Remembrance Parade and Service to commemorate the 101 year anniversary of the FirstWorld War.
Starting from the Civic Centre at 10:30am, the parade will then proceed down Burdon Road to the war memorial in Mowbray Park.
Last year, thousands lined the streets around the war memorial and outside the Sunderland Museum & Winter Gardens to remember the centenary anniversary of WW1.
Police officers on horseback led the parade down to the war memorial alongside serving military and armed forces veterans. Other groups included the emergency services, scout groups and Sunderland’s Sikh community.
One of the largest ceremony displays outside of London, show your respect and support for the armed forces at Sunderland Remembrance Parade and Service this November.
