Calling all panto fans! The classic Disney tale, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, will be coming to life on Sunderland Empire’s stage this winter – and we can’t wait!
The iconic venue has announced the return of the North East’s queen of comedy, Miss Rory (aka Dan Cunningham), who will star as the hilarious Nurse Rorina, accompanied by South Shields comic legend, Tom Whalley, as the side-splitting Muddles the Jesterin.
Together, alongside a stellar cast of co-stars, including a beautiful princess, a jealous Wicked Queen, seven bumbling dwarfs, a naughty nurse, a hilarious jester, a poisoned apple and a Magic Mirror, and some very talented dancers, the pair will star in the canniest panto of them all.
Miss Rory has appeared at Newcastle cabaret hotspot, Boulevard, as host since 2010, and has become a household name in the region and beyond.
Local lad, Tom Whalley, meanwhile, returns following his hilarious comical antics as Buttons in last year’s production, Cinderella. Having trained at Associated Studios, London, and graduating with a diploma in Musical Theatre from Northumbria University, Tom is now a successful performer, writer and composer.
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs returns to Sunderland Empire from Saturday 12 December 2020 – Sunday 3 January 2021.
Tickets are priced from £13 and are available to buy in person at the Box Office on High Street West, from the Ticket Centre on 0844 871 3022, or online at ATGTICKETS.com
