A tech firm which develops webinar and webcast platforms for the likes of Sony and Pfizer has grown rapidly since relocating to Washington Business Centre in Sunderland.

Software specialist streamGo, which started off in Newcastle, works with companies of all shapes and sizes to build and remotely manage communications platforms on their behalf.

The firm also provides asoftware as a service offering, which means it not only builds the software, but also teaches businesses how to use it and offers remote assistance, all from its base in Sunderland.

Webinars and webcasts are increasing in popularity across global businesses and are now used to host everything from product launches to delivering internal communications and to even host annual general meetings.

streamGo relocated to Washington Business Centre  last year and has since seen turnover rise by 90% due to a massive rise in demand for its services.

The move saw it relocate to newer, larger premises at Washington Business Centre after receiving support from Sunderland City Council and it has seen business soar as a result.

So much so, that the company is now moving for the third time in as many years, to larger premises on Sunderland Enterprise Park, just off Wessington Way.

Richard said: “It’s been an amazing year for the company and we’re surprised but delighted to be on the move again due to the growth of the company and the need for even bigger premises. But we’re ecstatic to have found premises still within the city.

“Not only will the move provide us with the space needed to take on new staff but it will also help us bring new products and services to market as we continue to increase our offering.”

The support from Sunderland City Council not only helped the company relocate to Sunderland but it also helped the company market itself better and enhance its product offering.

Richard added: “I can’t thank Sunderland City Council enough for its support, it has been absolutely amazing over the past few months.

“Not only have we moved office but we’ve also managed to invest further in our marketing activity and introduce new technology product offerings which will further enhance the business, we can’t wait to see what the future holds.”
