Motor vehicle students were provided with a real insight into the accident repair industry thanks to a visit from windscreen removal and refitting experts.

Local company C&P Windscreens demonstrated how to remove and refit bonded windows in motor vehicles to Level 2 and 3 Accident Repair and Paint students. The students were thrilled to be able to gain an understanding and knowledge of the latest tools and techniques used to carry out this specialist task.

C&P Windscreens Ltd, based in Washington, have highly trained technicians to replace windscreens, carry out chip repairs and van conversions to minibuses or motor homes.

Chris Dunn, Motor Vehicle Lecturer at Sunderland College, said: “We were delighted to welcome Billy Henderson from C&P Windscreens and were very grateful for him to give up his time to support our students’ development.

“His demonstration was very informative and all of the student were interested in the opportunities available in the Accident Repair Industry.”
