The Customs House is backing North East lad, Chris Ramsey, on his Strictly journey to Blackpool with a free screening of tomorrow’s (November 16) show…
Comedian and local lad, Chris Ramsey, has made it to Blackpool on BBC1’s Strictly Come Dancing – and The Customs House is throwing a party to celebrate!
Sunderland’s Strictly fans should waltz their way over to The Customs House tomorrow (November 16) for an exclusive free screening of the show in the venue’s cinema and show their support for Chris on his Strictly journey.
The Blackpool Tower Ballroom is renowned for its unique sprung dance floor and remarkable architecture and tomorrow’s show sees the remaining seven celebrities and their professional partners take to the world-famous dance venue.
Chris is a long-standing supporter of The Customs House and was one of the first people to be inducted as an Honorary Fellow of The Customs House Academy in 2015, which is why they’re throwing their weight behind him – and urging others to do the same.
He and his partner, Karen Hauer, the show’s longest-serving female pro, have gained a huge fan following, even delighting Declan Donnelly with their couple’s choice street dance to PJ and Duncan’s Let’s Get Ready to Rhumble in week seven.
The competition is hotting up as the couples work on their routines ahead of the show’s move up to the North West, with Chris tweeting: “Support from home has been next level, South Shields, the North East, the whole of the North, I love you!”
Catherine Hymers, Operations Director at The Customs House, said: “We’re massively excited to be able to show our support for Chris and Karen by gathering everyone together in front of our big screen to cheer them on.
“We have told everyone to come in sparkle, glitz and glam suitable for the Blackpool Tower Ballroom dance floor and we will be cheering Chris on all the way – vote Ramsey!”
Tickets for the free screening are now available from the box office on 0191 454 1234 or online at www.customshouse.co.uk
